Nebraska Football: Program going after top 2022 JUCO center

Nebraska football is set to have another busy recruiting weekend as they will host another Friday Night Lights event. This means around 20 prospects will be on campus, as Nebraska football looks to get some new talent into the program. One of the big offers they put out earlier in the day was to 2022 center Seth Falley.

Falley is not ranked in the 247Sports Composite Rankings or the regular rankings, but he does have a good reputation at the junior college level. As Sean Callahan of Rivals.com noted, Falley is one of the top 2022 junior college center prospects. He spent the past couple of seasons at Butler Community College.

What could he bring to Nebraska?

I’ve been watching some of his film over the last half hour or so, and I really like what I see from it. He is very physical, especially when pass blocking. He extends his hands quickly and is able to stay on his block. He is at his best when he is able to complete his blocks. He is not afraid to get physical . In that respect, he is able to make an impact in both the running and passing game.

One of the things that stood out to me was his athleticism. On the rare occasion when he would miss a block, he would be able to rebound from it nicely. He could sometimes catch up with his man and either finish the block, or be able to deter his man just enough so that the offensive play could be completed.  He is the type of athletic center that Nebraska football needs, and he would do really well with the combination of athletic quarterbacks and physical running backs that Nebraska football seems to be going after.

Currently the Nebraska football 2022 class has five commitments in what has been a busy month of June. They are ranked 46th nationally and 11th overall in the Big Ten per the 247Sports Team rankings. With the commitment of Ashton Hays last night, their ranking jumped a little bit.

I’ll be interested to see what happens over the weekend as the Nebraska football program hosts more prospects. There is no doubt that they are going after talent, and they are building a nice 2022 class. I’ll be interested to see when more commitments happen and I bet some will be happening soon. Nebraska always it seems to get good recruiting momentum in the summertime, and this month has been no exception.
