Nebraska Basketball: Program in good standing with Isaac Traudt

Nebraska basketball has been recruiting well over the past couple of weeks, and one of the top in-state recruits gave a complimentary review in regards to how the program has recruited him.

2022 four-star power forward Isaac Traudt acknowledged earlier in the week that Nebraska basketball program has been recruiting him hard. It makes sense, given that he is the ninth overall power forward in his class, and the top player in the state of Nebraska.  Landing local talent would do wonders for the basketball program, as they look to continue the recruiting blitz.

According to Traudt, Nebraska basketball has been recruiting him hard. It’s also worth noting that his primary recruiter is Fred Hoiberg. When the head coach recruits you, you know the program really wants you. When you look at what he brings to the table, it is easy to see why.

He certainly has a nice shot, especially in the mid-range area. However what stood out to me when watching his highlights was that he was so smooth around the basket. He was able to finish layups in contact. He was also able to generate a decent amount of speed in transition. When you consider that he is six-foot-nine, 205 pounds it really is impressive how quickly he can move.

As result of all the skills he can bring to the table, Nebraska basketball has been recruiting him pretty hard it seems. This would be another huge get for the program. In speaking to 247Sports, earlier this week, he had nothing but nice things to say about the Nebraska basketball program. It sounds like the coaching staff has established a good relationship with him.

“Fred Hoiberg has been on me hard for a year and a half now and we have built a great relationship. Being able to represent my state would be really cool. The school has not really got a highly touted recruit from the state in a while. I kind of grew up around the city of Lincoln. They think if I went there, the fan base would be really crazy.”

Landing Traudt would be massive for Nebraska basketball. It will be interesting to see if they can do so. It’s evident that the coaching staff has established a nice rapport with prospects in recruiting. Now, it’s all about sealing the deal. Nebraska basketball has been able to do that lately, which is why I am confident with where they stand with Traudt.
