As Nebraska football continues to focus on recruiting for the future, a Crystal Ball was put in their favor on Wednesday. Mike Schaefer of 247Sports put in a crystal ball for cornerback London Hall. Furthermore, Hall is scheduled take his visit on October 2.
The Crystal Ball itself is “high” which means Schaefer believes there is a good chance Hall could end up at Nebraska. The three-star corner is ranked the 100th overall corner in the 2022 class, and the 148th overall player in his class from the state of Florida per the 247Sports Composite rankings.
In addition to Nebraska, some of the other notable schools offering him include Coastal Carolina and Buffalo.
When I was watching his film earlier today, I was impressed by a couple of things. For one, he has tremendous closing speed. This allows him to come up and make tackles when defending the run. He is able to quickly identify the ball carrier and come up and make a play.
In terms of how he defends the passing game, those skills are on full display as well. He uses that same quickness to identify the receiver and track where the ball is going. This allows him to make a play, and stop it before it starts.
As far as the 2022 Nebraska football recruiting class is concerned, the class itself ranks 69th nationally and 14th overall in the Big Ten per the 247Sports Team rankings. The class does have a strong base, but it certainly needs to be filled out a little bit more. I will say that this class is one of the smaller ones in recent memory. However, Nebraska has stated that they would be going smaller with this class.
I’ll be interested to see what comes of this visit. Nebraska has had luck with secondary recruits in recent years. Will that continue this time around?
