Nebraska football has been hard at work trying to find an impact wide receiver for future classes . One of the players that has constantly come up in these conversations is 2024 Dae’vonn Hall.
The Bellevue West wide receiver is not ranked 247Sports composite rankings. He does however carry a 90 overall numerical rating in the 247Sports regular rankings. All has a lot of offers from teams in the Midwest. Iowa, Kansas, Kansas State, Minnesota, and Missouri have all extended first is way.
One of the things that may work Nebraska’s favor here is that Hall really likes Mickey Joseph. As noted in a report from Abby Barmore of HuskerOnline, Hall views Joseph as an idol.
When you look at what Hall can bring to the table as a wide receiver, it makes sense that Joseph is going after him in terms of recruiting. He is a downfield threat.
Measuring in at six-foot-one,180 pounds, Hall is able to use his speed in a variety of ways. In addition to being a downfield threat, Hall can also take the ball out of the backfield and make things happen that way. The common element in his game is speed. Along with that size, he is able to wreak havoc on defenses.
For what Nebraska football is looking for in a wide receiver, I would say that he would be used mostly down the field. with that being said, I don’t think they would limit him in any way.
As Joseph looks to make his way around the state of Nebraska, Hall has nothing but good things to say about Nebraska’s wide receivers coach.
He said Nebraska’s new wide receiver coach Mickey Joseph is one of the idols he looks up to. He said he was very excited to meet and talk with Joseph and that it is a “big factor in his recruiting.”
We shall see how big of a factor Joseph truly is as he recruits Hall. This is one of those situations where Joseph could really move the needle in Nebraska’s favor. Landing one of the premier prospects in the state for 2024 would certainly be a notch in Joseph’s belt.
As if Joseph really needs that many more notches.
