When you look at the Nebraska football offensive line, there are a bunch of candidates that could really make an impact at the spring. One of those candidates is Henry Lutovsky. As many probably recall, he was a highly-touted recruit for Nebraska. A member of the 2021 recruiting class, he committed to the program on November 17, 2019.

Now, he looks to be able to really make an impact on the line. There is no doubt the size is there. Measuring in at 6-foot-6, 320 pounds, Lutovsky is built like an offensive lineman.  As noted by Brian Christopherson, he will probably take over the duties of Matt Sichterman.

Looking at some of his old high school film, it is easy to see why Nebraska recruited him. He is incredibly athletic, especially for a guy his size. If he can continue to bring that athletic aspect to the line during spring ball, he could certainly make some noise in the fall. That type of athleticism on the line is an asset. It allows for quicker reactions, and can help neutralize a strong defensive line.

This is a time for him to really step up and show what he is made of. He didn’t get much of an opportunity last year, and now is the chance for him to show what he can do. He is certainly an intriguing player for me, because of that athleticism. I remember he was highly regarded coming into Lincoln. Now, it’s time for him to show it.

The Nebraska football coaching staff no longer has to worry about burning Lutovsky’s redshirt. The training wheels can come off so to speak. Now, is his chance to show that he belongs on that line. The skill is certainly there. He has just never been given a full opportunity. He is undoubtedly one of the names I will be watching for in spring ball as well.

With Donovan Raiola leading the charge are I feel a lot better about Lutovsky’s development now than I did at this time last year. There is certainly something to be said for that. Of course, time will tell in regards to the results. However, I think he is really in a prime position to at least show what he is made of this time around.
