It appears that the Nebraska football coaching staff is really making an effort to recruit in St. Louis. Bill Busch has made it a priority area, and now Mickey Joseph is trying to strengthen his ties in the area as well, per 247Sports’ Mike Schaefer.
Monday, Joseph was in St. Louis and he offered four players in total. Defensive back Charles Bass, safety Leontre Bradford, running back Jamarion Parker, and wide receiver Jesse Watson were the recipients of his offers. Bass and Parker are members of the class of 2025. Bradford and Watson are part of the 2024 group.
A particularly notable offer for Nebraska football
All of these kids are important in the grand scheme of things, but the one offer in particular that stands out is Parker. He is not ranked in the 247Sports composite or regular rankings, but he does have 16 offers on the table.
Parker’s offers include the likes of Boston College, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ole Miss, and Texas A&M. There are some smaller schools who are interested in Parker as well. Measuring in at 6 feet, 185 pounds, Parker has great vision and explosive playmaking ability. This allows him to change direction quickly and use his speed to get into the open field.
Joseph is probably one of the strongest recruiters on the current Nebraska football coaching staff. It has been well-documented that he can recruit Louisiana. It’s also been well-documented that he is a good recruiter overall.
The fact that Nebraska is sending him into the Missouri area is a good thing, because it matches up with the program’s strategy. They want to make the Missouri area a recruiting focus. Sending Joseph in to recruit this area is a great way to get results.
Time will tell how many Nebraska football can land from Missouri. However, they are making a strong effort to do so.
