Nebraska football landed their second commitment of the day on Monday from offensive\defensive lineman Jason Maciejczak. He made the announcement on Twitter.
Maciejczak is a three-star recruit. He holds an 80 overall numerical ranking. A three-star recruit, he held offers from Nebraska and North Dakota. His primary recruiter was offensive line coach Donovan Raiola.
Maciejczak has been busy over the last year. He committed to North Dakota on July 27 and took a visit to the program on November 18. He was officially offered by Nebraska on December 16 and he committed from North Dakota on December 19. Now, his recruitment process has come full circle with the commitment.
Maciejczak is listed as an interior offensive lineman on several of the major recruiting sites. He does have the ability to play on the defensive side of the football, as noted in report by Michael Bruntz of Husker247. This offensive lineman group is strong, with Sam sledge, Gunnar Gottula, and Brock Knutson also holding down the class at the offensive line position.
A strong 2023 Nebraska Football class
Currently, the 2023 Nebraska football recruiting class is shaping up to be a solid one. The class itself ranks 44th overall nationally, and ranks 21st in transfer portal pickups. The ranking has increased dramatically over the past couple of days, as the new Nebraska football coaching staff looks to put the finishing touches on this class.
Maciejczak gives Nebraska football flexibility at multiple positions, if they choose to go that route. This is a commitment that fills an area of need for Nebraska football, while allowing the coaching staff to develop a player. It will be intriguing to see who else comes into the program, with Early National Signing Day this coming Wednesday.
