Richmond, Virginia, beat off Virginia Beach to come in at number 34 on the list, while Orlando, Florida took first place.
The survey dug deep into a number of variables, weighing everything from the profusion of food and entertainment options to the general peace and quiet and leisure opportunities each city provided.
Securing the 76th rank on the list and outperforming over half of the cities in the survey, Norfolk, another gem in the Commonwealth of Virginia, held its own.
